Jackson returns on the Cambrian!

After a year out of the competitive driving seat, Matthew Jackson will be back behind the wheel on the forthcoming Cambrian Rally. Having taken 12 months away from the seat to concentrate on a master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Jackson will return piloting the course opening car on the North Wales based event.

Having completed the Motorsport Association (MSA) Safety car training during 2017, Matthew, who for this event will be joined by Paul Morris in the navigators seat, will pilot the Renault Twingo R1 supplied by Rallyme.co.uk across all 45 stage miles of the opening round of the BTRDA Rally Championship to officially open the stage for the 115 competitive cars behind.

’I am looking forward to the day. Having spent a lot of 2017 on the sidelines, marshalling, servicing and generally being around but not competing, I am very eager to get back behind the wheel, especially on my ‘home’ rally, the Cambrian. I have to thank North Wales car club for the opportunity as well as John Goff at Rallyme.co.uk for the use of the car’.

The event itself is based out of the seaside town of Llandudno with the first competitive car due to leave the start area on the sea front at 8:00am on Saturday 17th February.
